SENIOR MANAGEMENT

Torsten Merkel, Chief Executive Officer

Torsten began his career on secondment to the Indian government by the German government
advising on renewable energy policy. Following this, he spent a number of years with Euromoney Institutional Investor where he was responsible for the development of their global portfolio of Renewable Energy Finance platforms where, as a consequence, he played an instrumental role in helping to develop the cross-border financing market for this sector. From Euromoney he moved to become the European Managing Director for the specialist advisory firm - The Cleantech Group, creating strategies for their industry information provision and service offerings. In 2007 Torsten left to found Altostrata Energy - a renewable energy investment company of which he is still a director, and in 2008 was appointed CEO of Pure Energy Intelligence. Torsten has a degree in political science and law from the Technical University of Dresden and the University of Hagen. Torsten speaks German, Russian and English.

Siamion Zlobich, Chief Operating Officer

An experienced Project and Operations manager, Siamion has worked on projects across a wide range of sectors both domesticially and internationally. Establishing his career as a Project Manager in the US Construction industry, he then returned to Belarus where he spent several years as a COO of a the leading Belarusian management consulting company - Key Decisions. While there, he helped to build the company to a team of eighty and secured contracts with some of the countries highest profile corporations. In 2009 Siamion left to found Enterinvest - an investment consulting company focused on supporting local and foreign investors. Siamion holds a degree in Economics and Management from the Belarusian State University. Siamion speaks Russian, Belarusian and English.

Andrei Matsiavin, Business Development Director

Prior to founding of Enterinvest - a Belarusian investment consulting groupm, Andrei the lead analyst at a leading Belarusian management consulting group, where he built up extensive experience working with local and international investors developing projects across a series of sectors including infrastructure, construction, retail and manufacturing. He has a degree in Economics from the Belarusian State Economic University and is also fluent in English, Belarusian and Russian.

Andriy Baranochnik, Commercial Project Manager

A founder of Pure Energy Intelligence, Andriy has also consulted for to Moscow based combined heat and power development company - MEK and Swedish Biogas vendor - Purac, identifying and developing projects. A Ukrainian national Andriy has held business development and relationship management positions in engineering firms through the EMEA region. Andriy holds a M.A. Degree from the University of Donetsk and a M.A. Degree in Marketing and Public Relations from the University of Leipzig. He speaks Russian, German, English and Ukrainian.

Igor Bahovchuk, Technical Project Manager

A graduate of Minsk State Energy Engineering school, Igor commenced his career as a Project Engineer spending a number of years working on industrial site implementation projects. During this time he worked with both State and Private companies including STiM, a large privately held Belarusian company as their in-house Owners Engineer. Prior to joining Pure Energy Intelligence, Igor headed the department of Design and Permitting for Brest Region special investment zone, where he worked with a number foreign investors helping them to fast-track the development of their industrial sites.
